20 Days of Christmas: Day 3 - Sony Reader Daily

All book reading enthusiasts, you need to check this out. This is Sony's Reader Daily Edition. This piece of technology has a seven inch touchscreen with 16 levels of gray as well as an AT&T 3G modem, enabling it to pull content wirelessly. It is out just in time for the Christmas holiday season having just launched and will retail for around $400. The 3G access will be free but will be limited to the Sony eBook store; it will have no web browser. The Reader will allow the owner to check out ebooks and other digital content from local public libraries through the library service finder and best of all, this service is free. The New York Public library is one of the public libraries that is a launch partner with thousands more looped in through a partnership with http://www.overdrive.com, which offers a huge selection of top-tier content that is available through the Chicago Public Library. Each library buys a fixed number of "copies" of each title and allows the licenses to be "check out," so basically once the book is "checked out" by a person, that person will have 14-29 days to finish with the book, depending on the local branch's rules.

I trust Sony products as they have been weel know for years for their Walkmans and various other products such as LCD televisions and many, many audio electronics. I have owned many Sony products and can testify to their quality, durabilty, and dependability.

More can be found out at Sony's website located at http://www.sonystyle.com/.

There's really no discounts to be found anywhere, but this will definitely be worth the $399 price tag from wherever you purchase it.

20 Days of Christmas: Day 2 (Discount Nintendo Wii)

Day 2 of our 20 Days of Christmas takes us to the kids and their love of video games. In this day and age, video games are taking over our kids' lives and may actually be causing our kids to be obese, some studies show. From the Xbox 360 by Microsoft to the Playstation 3 by Sony, video games are a staple in American and worldly technology circles. These gaming systems offer new age and extreme graphics and very detailed gameplay. However, these games keep our kids sitting down to play, exerting no energy at all.

Nintendo, however, may have come to save the day when they introduced their Wii system a couple of years ago. This system allows for the use of a motion sensored controller in which the player uses to manipulate the characters on the screen. With the simple free games that comes with the system, kids and adults alike have the capability to burn some calories while playing a game. Now, with the introduction of Wii Fit and various other games in the fitness realm, the Nintendo Wii is the most calorie burn-friendly video gaming system out there.

With Christmas coming up and the economy being the garbage that it is, money can be tight. And, if your kids want one of these, there's a possible chance you will be able to afford them, especially if you visit TechBargains.com. This is the #1 search result for bargain Wii systems via Google. They have systems starting at around $150.00 with free shipping as well as bundle packages for around $185.00. Go check out the bargains on this 2nd day of our 20 days of Christmas specials.

20 Days of Christmas: Day 1

Simply the Best Plasma TV I Have Owned

With it being Christmas time, I thought I would write another hub, this time for us older kids. I am going to discuss a fine bundle that Best Buy is currently offering that can also be found on their website at bestbuy.com.

This 42 inch Plasma Television is a 720p Plasma running at 600hz and is the Viera Series from Panasonic (Find out about more Panasonic products at http://www.panasonic.com/). This is a brilliantly designed and well put together product that Panasonic has really outdone themselves on. I have viewed and owned several Plasma sets from Samsung, Toshiba, and Pioneer, all of which are very nice, but this one is extremely nice. I personally own the 1080p version but that's because I got one heck of a deal from HH Gregg when I went to purchase the 720p version. My 1080p version cost $699, roughly the cost of this same bundle that Best Buy is offering. I was an avid LCD, particularly the Sharp Aquos sets, until I purchased this Panasonic Viera. The refresh rate is 600hz compared to the 120hz on my Aquos LCD and you can really tell when you are watching sports or playing games, which is what I primarily do along with watching BluRay on my Panasonic BluRay Home Theatre system. When I watched sports or played my Xbox 360 on my 120hz LCD, I noticed image blur, something that is not even close to happening while playing on my Panasonic Plasma.

Now, you have to remember also, you are purchasing this in a bundle with the Microsoft Xbox 360 Elite gaming system that comes with the 120GB hard drive and a free game which is around a $450 value anyway. You are getting a killer combo here.
All in all, this is by far one of the best deals I have seen this Christmas season. I am actually thinking about making this purchase and replacing the 32 in. Sharp Aquos LCD in the guest room.

If you are in the market for a new television, don't miss out on this Panasonic Viera 42 inch plasma television with Xbox 360 Elite combo from Best Buy for just around $700.
